Fellowship Groups

 A Fellowship Group is a formal group of PBC members who commit to meet together regularly to cultivate gospel community with one another (Acts 2:42-47). We believe that being a part of a church consists of more than weekly attendance at corporate worship. The church is a family that lives life together by caring for one another, bearing one another’s burdens, and helping each other grow in conformity to Christ.

What About Childcare?

Lord willing, we will offer childcare at the church building in 2024. Parents will drop off their children at 6 p.m. and pick them up by 8 p.m., giving you 15 minutes of travel time before groups start and after they finish. Childcare will be provided by trained and approved PBC Kids volunteers, with ancillary support (security, check-in, cleanup, etc.) provided by other members of PBC. Our goal is for every Fellowship Group to spend one week serving in this area. For more details about how we hope this will work, please watch the video below.

 It is a group of PBC members who commit to meet once a week and are intended to cultivate biblical fellowship with one another. We find the teaching to gather in this manner in the following scripture…

(Acts 2:42-47) “And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers...”  

Fellowship groups are NOT accountability groups (although we hope to some degree to keep each other accountable), nor are they Bible or book study groups (although we will spend time in God's Word).

Fellowship Groups are designed to foster deeper, personal relationships with a diverse group of PBC members. Each week we will spend some time talking about the previous week's sermon and spend time in prayer for one another. The main goal is to develop a culture where there is an opportunity for members to know and grow together.

Each fellowship group will meet for 8 weeks, twice a year, on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:45 p.m.. Groups will begin in January and September with a break over the summer. Once fellowship groups start back up, different members will make up new groups. Over the course of a year, we will spend time getting to know and grow with different church members in ways not available in our corporate gatherings.
