2 Ways To Look at the People in Your Church

Tim Challies writes, “There are two ways for you to look at the people in your own local church—you can look at them by where they’ve come from or by where they still need to go. You can choose to focus on all the progress they’ve made, or you can choose to focus on all the progress they still need to make.” The former leads to humility and joy, the latter leads to cynicism and frustration.

“Reading books matters. If you read books, you need to be able to concentrate on a story or idea for an extended time. You need to think. It is a skill that is in short supply but great demand.”
